Additional information: These carpets are produced in villages and in small workshops.

Soft Gabbeh carpet made of 100% wool. This rug has a simple design with 3 main colors and small details. It is made in Iran, the material is either sheep or goat natural wool, Gabbeh is very soft and suitable for bedrooms and kids' rooms.

These carpets are produced in villages and in small workshops. The weavers do not follow a specific plan or design to produce these carpets and do the work of weaving by imagining the general shape of the carpet in their minds. For this reason, this style of carpet is unique in its kind and there are no similar examples that are produced with the exact same details, and this item raises the value of these carpets from an artistic point of view.

The cream, brown, and gray colors used in this carpet are natural and no color has been added to the wool, and their color is the main color of the wool, which is called self-dyed.

In spring, they separate the wool from sheep and goats. Then the wool is separated according to color and quality, washed, and dried. At this stage, the weavers use a small machine called a spindle to wind the wool and prepare the wool strands for carpet production. Then they start weaving using frames that are placed on the ground.

Gabbeh carpets produced in Iran are a unique art form that is steeped in the history and cultural heritage of the country. The word "gabbe" comes from the Persian "raw" or "natural", emphasizing the naturalness and rawness of these carpets.

These carpets are most often created by the nomadic Gashgai tribe in Fars Province, a southwestern region of Iran. Handcraft is a key element of their production, with each design carefully woven by weavers, conveying centuries of tradition and craftsmanship.

One of the characteristics of gabbeh carpets is their thickness, sometimes reaching 2.5 cm. This makes them not only excellent decorative elements, but also a source of comfort and softness for any interior.

Unlike other Persian rugs, the patterns on gabbeh rugs are modest and simple, often containing geometric shapes or animals. They also feature natural shades obtained through the use of vegetable dyes.

Over time, gabbeh carpets have become popular not only in Iran, but also abroad. Their unique design and high quality make them a valuable addition to any home or office. The art of these carpets is not just about making carpets, it is about preserving and passing on the traditions and cultural heritage of Iran through unique and colorful handicrafts.
