Patchwork - these carpets have been mainly manufactured in recent years originated in Turkey and is now produced in Iran too. The old or new rugs are divided into small pieces, put together in a new arrangement and bonded together. Sometimes the pieces of carpet are painted before bonding to get the designers' favorite color and sometimes they are bonded without repainting.
